Glorious GoGo CJ

It seems like forever ago that I started this CJ, and now it has finally come home. I am delighted with it. Each page was created using a specific month of Gogo kit. My Theme was 'If I had One Wish'. The subjects of some peoples pages we heartfelt and I felt pleased that they would share their journalling with me! Thank you girls! I love it!

Last but not least ...

The final class of the day was another taught by Janice - she was amazed that no-one seemed to have made a flag book before as she makes them quite often, and I have to say that I think I will too now - they are so effective yet relatively simple to make! This is on the front, we cut down some playing cards to make frames

then inside you get these flappy bits (technical term)

I love it - the photos are of Max, one for each year so far but you could do anything, add more layers, go mad! And the great thing that Janice pointed out is that you can embellish to your hearts content because it will just close up as far it it will close. Where are those buttons......

4 of the classes

This was actually the last LO of the day, taught by Sheena. Poor Sheena was very nevous about teaching her first Gogo class and kept checking her notes beforehand, but she needn't have worried, it was a fab end to the day There are (or will be) hidden photos behind the chipboard shapes.

This LO was one prepared by Nicola, but sadly she couldn't make it at the last minute so Janice stepped in as teacher. This was our first class of the day, and the die cuts were very apt as the photo I had bought for this class was one of Guy doing his homework! I love the little scrolls I made!

This one was taught by Lisa, still have to do the journalling on this one. I love the way we used the scrabble peices to make a frame for the photo.

This class was taught by Lorraine. We had to dress the chipboard man how we liked - mine turned into a girl! And the die cuts from the other class suited these papers so I used up my left overs on here!

GoGo Game Over - Coventry

Yesterday I had a fantastic day at GoGo Game Over in Coventry. I only took a few photos on the day - we were so busy with the 5 amazing classes. The venue was the Masonic Hall in Coventry which was a most fabulous building, I wonder if it used to be a private dwelling - I could live in a house like that!!

UKS Weekly Challenge

This is my LO for the weekly challenge on UKS this week.

The criteria was to include 10 of something. I used buttons, my favourite thing! To scrap about change. The photo is of my children on their first day at a new school, moving your kids to a new school involves big changes all round!! Use a fancy edge - I used my new Martha Stewart punch on the red paper and the white paper came with that fancy edge. Use red - splattering of that all over the place!

Twisted Sketches #37

I am on Team B of the Twisted Sketches DT, but this week was the turn of Team A - but I love playing along anyway! You can see the sketch on the Twisted Sketches site, this weeks twist was 'wood', so these pics of my friend & I with the kids on a wet and muddy day at Eastnor Castle fitted the bill!

Cheeky Monsters

I bought the Monstrosity kit from Cleo when she brought her Bellaboo shop to the Bromsgrove crop a few months ago. I came across this photo of Guy & his mates on his 9th birthday and for some inexplicable reason, these papers came to mind!!

Journaling Junkie Challenge #74

I love the challenges set on Journaling Junkie. We are all in this scrapbooking to preserve our memories but so often we don't actually write on out LO's because they are too 'pretty' to write over, but this challenge blog encourages us to get writing - and I love to try and complete the challenge!! So this weeks was
'Create a LO that celebrates your talents, journaling about it and how it affects people'

Well as Girlguiding UK celebrates it's centenary this year it seems only appropriate that my LO celebrates the fact that I am a Guider.

Journalling reads:

I've been involved in Guiding as an adult since 1992 and I am so happy to still be involved and enjoying it in our centenary year. 100 years since a group of girls approached Baden-Powell asking for 'something for the girls'.
2010 promises to be an amazing year for all the girls, fabulous camps, trips and events throughout the year, culminating in a mass renewal of promise at 20:10 on 20/10/2010. I am happy with my little group of Rainbows. Photo taken at Dudley Zoo. June 2009.

UKS Challenges

Rather than being wined and dined this evening, I have managed to get a couple of layouts done for challenges on UKS. Firstly the house challenge, about something that gave us a passion! Well Take That do it for me every time!!

And then the weekly challenge, to use a song title including the word love, a heart and some red. Tick. The photos are of 2 of my children and the writing they did on the computer - little declarations of love - very cute!

Twisted Sketch #36

This is the first LO I have done for the Twisted Sketches DT. I was so nervous emailing it over to them! I hope you like it! The twist was pens, paper & pencils. Well the photos are of us signing the register at our wedding back in 1999.

Well it's almost the end of the day and the only photos I had taken were at Rainbows this evening and I guess it's not entirely appropriate to post photos of other people children on your blog!! I can't move very easily get up to take a photo as there is something big and warm across my feet - so here is the picture of that big warm thing!! Robbie always sleeps on my feet in the evening. I think it is so he knows to wake up and follow me when I go to bed!! (Yes of course my doggies sleep in my room - on the floor though!)

How cold is it at the moment!???!!! We have had a few snow flurries today but nothing has settled, but I can tell you I was mighty cold at school in Forest School this afternoon! That will teach me to leave my thermals at home!
