I think the piles are definately getting smaller ....

I am definately throwing away more empty pizza boxes than there are full ones coming through the door. I have done 30 LO's so far this year, so that has got to be a big fat pat on the back for me!!
This one is Charlotte on the beach in Saundersfoot last summer - cool photo taken by my 8 year old!
This is Molly opening her Hello Kitty cushion - you may have seen the LO of her sister opening hers!!
And oddly enough, another photo taken my Max, aged 8. This pic of me & Guy on a little National Trust jaunt last Easter.

UKS Weekly Challenge - Wk 4

The challenge this week was to use stars, red, 'who' in the title, and an animal.
Using the January Scrapagogo kit I have managed all the criteria and will be claiming 30 points for my team, The Crafty Magpies.

AMAM Challenge

Here is the finished article! This mini book was the first in a year long project of Mini Books organised by my good friend Karen.

The theme of this first mini was 'new beginnings' and I loosely used this theme to recount Guy's first time away from home on a residential trip.

Despite my being nervous you can see he had a great time!!
The pages were envelopes so I left them open so I could add pages inside.

Thanks for looking.

Stash busting again

For fear of repeating myself, I have been doing some serious stash busting of late and here ar a couple more LO's made using up VERY old stash. Discovered some Smooch Sprotz in a past Gogo kit that I hadn't opened, I quite like it!! May be appearing on many LO's
Here is a close up of the detail, using up old blooms and just a couple of the gazillion brads that I have!
This was a really old kit, I think the stick on the letters had gone as they kept peeling off, in the end I plastered a big layer of Mod Podge over them and it seems to have done the trick AND given the title a nice glossy sheen! Not sure that it is entirely hygenic that Max had the tea towel tied round his head while he was washing up, but we were camping so a certain level of germs are permissable!!
Same camping trip, a nice glow from all the tea lights! All the kids bunched up together! This was a mishmash of old kits.
Thanks for looking.

Blueprint to Go!

Over at the Scrapagogo Clubhouse they have a new monthly inspiration called Blueprint To Go. A quick and easy LO sketch to get you scrapping.
Here is my LO using the January sketch.
The good news is that anyone can join in and you don't even have to sub to the kit.

Mojo Prompt

Within our team, The Crafty Magpies on UKS, we set ourselves our own little challenge in 2011. Each of us came up with ten prompts, to kick start our mojo, and then made copies for everyone in the team. When they were all dished out we had 80 prompts each in a jar. On the 1st of the month we pull out a prompt and make a LO according to it - and here is mine.
I, stupidly, threw away the prompt when I had made the LO, so from memory it was to use at least 3 different coloured PP's, paint, and something else that I can remember. It was either Karen or Emma's prompt so they might remember!!

UKS Monthly Challenge

This month, the monthly house challenge on UKS was to 'journal' on the LO. Not a problem for me as I often journal loads on pages - so this LO tells the story of how when Charlotte saw that Santa had bought Molly a huge Hello Kitty cushion before Christmas, she had a bit of a strop that she'd have quite liked one of those for her bed. So this picture captures the moment that she realised Santa had been out shopping and bought her one too!!

WOYWW

Apologies for the poor quality - but you get the jist - things haven't improved since last week - but let me tell you I have made about 12 LO's this week!!
That one 'in progess' is now finished and I will be sharing as the week goes on.
The mega LO production was following a mojo surge after a crafty day at Bubbly Funk in Worcester, and a determination to USE some of my stash!!
