Half Term Handiwork

Having got rid of all 4 - yes ALL 4, children from last Friday night (hell yeah - they were in the car by 3.30 on their way) until last night at Nana & Grandads, Andrew and I worled flat out decorating the kids rooms and here is the finished results! I am so pleased with the results and it looks like they are too. I want no NEED those fairy light around my headboard!!
They all swapped rooms a while back so they boys were in lilac or cerise pink bedrooms and the girls were in a rather drab and grubby 'had been' boys room (you can imagine!), so now they all have the right colour scheme!!

In more news, apart from my half term peace being shattered, I am cracking on with my scarf although it's waayyyy too narrow so I might have to give it to Molly when it's done!

Ah this newfound glorious decor makes me itch to redo the lounge ......................

Improving my blogging

So as you know I am the worlds worst at regular blogging, so I have signed up for Shimelles new online class here. For just £9 I think it's a bargain, and apparently it will give me a years blogging and scrapping inspiration, and I certainly need that!!

LO catchup

This is just a very quick post to confirm that I am still in the land of the living and scrapping!!
Firstly this LO was created using the October 2008 Scrapagogo kit, for Nicolas Gogo Use It Up challenge in the Gogo Clubhouse.
This LO was using either the August or Sept 09 Gogo kit and was one of several I made at my very first visit to the Bromsgrove crop. Claire kindly drove me there and back, and it was great to meet Claire (can you believe you live in the same place as a cyber friend yet you never meet irl), Jackie, Liberty & all the other girls.

Cleo Jarvis from Bellaboo was there with her shop (fatal) and did a class for us, and this is what I made...

More LO's done at the crop....

And this one - note how large my wine glass is compared to my friends!!

And finally this one with the October 09 gogo kit.

More blogging to follow I promise!!

Hi De Hi

So in a rather wine induced moment, some friends of ours and us decided to book a campsite later in the school holidays. As it's been 3 years since I put this tent up, and as Andrew won;'t be arriving ubtil the evening at the campsite meaning I have to put the tent up, I thought I'd give it a go in the farden first.
OK lots of poles....
Slowly taking shape,
Love this look of confusion!

And finally something that looks like a tent!

I took the kids away with another friend and her kids 3 years ago in this tent and have a fab time, the kid amused themselves and we had a really relaxing few days (blessed with good weather). We actually bought the tent about 5 years ago from a friend who was upgrading to a caravan. I have been desperate to use it again but the husband fails to see the joy of the great outdoors! So I am really hoping that we have great weather and a fun time as I know this could be the cheap holiday option!
Aside from tent erection, I have done a few LO's, this one using June 08(?) Scrapagogo kit, and for Shimelles SLYMI challenge to scrap a square in a square

and another as I liked the whole square in a square thing!

And this for the weekly challenge on UKS

and this for the 6th Birthday Bash challenge in the Gogo clubhouse, to have a title spanning the page. This is the August kit, and some of the fab free Hybrid elements

My first ever hybrid scrapping attempt, love the bunting and the lettering

But the favourite item has to be this vintage embellie!

Prizes!

I just wanted to share this card & goodies I recieved from Nicola in the Gogo Clubhouse as a prize for winning the July Use it Up challenge! Thanks Nicola & I can't wait to get stuck into them!

A weekends news

Last weekend I spent Sunday afternoon clearing this one and only and rather neglected flower bed in our garden. About 4 years ago we had the garden flattened and laid to lawn and patio, with 4 kids there was little point having flowers!! But I decided rather than weeks I might aswell have some shrubs or something. Do here is the clearing in progress - with my little helper!

A visit from Mum & Dad and money spent at the garden centre and I now have some pretty flowers!

I was inspired to try some close up pics by Rachel ,she has had some pictures of her garden on her blog recently.

And here is the finished patch, once it fills out it will be gorgeous!

Here is me and number 1 son Guy mucking about for Number 2 son Max taking pictures of us!
