Journaling Junkie Challenge 84
This lo is for challenge 84 over at Jounraling Junkie.
Journaling reads as follows
A whole new way of 'life' started for me in January 2010 when I started my Forest School Leader course. I met a whole new bunch of people who quickly became likeminded friends, a pillar of support and a great source of company over our 6 months training. We even slept out together in a stick and leaf shelter on a frosty night! We had laughs, shared thoughts and gradually we are one by one sharing our successful 'passes' on our Forest SChool assessments. Til we meet again ......
UKS July Week 4 challenge
Hi all - seems so long since I posted!! Thought I would share this that I made this morning with you. I really love it.
It's a wall hanging to go on DD's bedroom wall, but it follows the criteria set in the UKS weekly challenge, which were; scrap in not your normal size; use ribbon ; use scraps; have visable journalling. As a member of the DT for Journalling Junkie I have no problem writing on my pages but I nkow a lot of people find this really hard. It's hanging on the lounge wall at the moment, as DD is still in bed asleep and hasn't seen it, and the colours are actually perfect for there, but to be fair, I have no urge to have a photo of DD's friends on the living room walls!
Hope you like and I am now definately inspired to do something for the lounge but with pics of us!

Off to The Ark
As it was our last Rainbow meeting of term last night, we took the girls to the Ark Animal Sanctuary. Dean the manager gave us a guided tour and loads of info aimed at the girls level, then we came to the snakes ........................
He thought I might like 7.5ft of throbbing muscle around my neck..................and then thought the girls would find it HILARIOUS if I was to find myself left with a Boa Constrictor round my neck while he disappeared!!! Can you see my pleasure?? Can you??
All bar one of the Rainbows held a slightly smaller and more friendly looking Royal Python, I was so proud of them all - here is Molly holding it - it was her last Rainbows as she will be off to Brownies in September. Apologies for the bad picture - that was taken on my iPhone in semi darkness.

Sunny afternoons
Today we spent that afternoon on the banks of the Avon for the Bell Boating Regatta. At his school they are mad keen on this activity and he has already had several trips on the river with his crew, but today was when all the local teams pitched against each other, Years 4, 5 and combined 6/7 teams.
The weather could not have been more perfect, in fact it was possibly a little too hot, but my oh my, what day for messing around on the water!Wednesday, 23 June 2010
A Little Something From The Weekend ....
Last Sunday was Fathers Day and we didn't have anything special lined up so Andrew suggested we had a wander in Evesham (and could look for my birthday present) and take the kids to the park. Well most of the shops were shut, there was eant to be a Morris Dancing Festival but we couldn't find that, so we went to Subway, got some food and went to eat it in the park by the river.
Well as luck would have it, we arrived just in time to see this lot processing out through the park

Late weekly challenge uploads
While I almost always get the weekly challenges on UKS done, it's often last thing on a Sunday and they never quite get uploaded on time!
So here is last weeks LO, the criteria was 'bold' 'big' & not 12x12 so my LO is 7x7 to go in my 'Jailbreak' album from my International Guide trip in 2005 (!) showing the BIG Reichstag in Berlin, the centre of Parliament there, the glass dome that you can just see at the back of the building was added after the freedom of East/West berlin as a sign of a new openess, you can climb up there and look down on parliament taking place, but you have to get there early in the day as the queues are LONG!!
And this was from the week before, photos are of our trip to Legoland last September, can't remember the exact criteria but there was a sketch to follow (love following sketches!) and I think you had to scrap something that made you happy - this was a happy trip!!So here is last weeks LO, the criteria was 'bold' 'big' & not 12x12 so my LO is 7x7 to go in my 'Jailbreak' album from my International Guide trip in 2005 (!) showing the BIG Reichstag in Berlin, the centre of Parliament there, the glass dome that you can just see at the back of the building was added after the freedom of East/West berlin as a sign of a new openess, you can climb up there and look down on parliament taking place, but you have to get there early in the day as the queues are LONG!!
Anyway the full points claimed for both these LO's for my UKS team!
