Avoncroft Museum

I've been on a bit of a day out with the kids today. I saw advertised a 'Pirate Academy' day at Avoncroft Museum which isn't too far from us, so I phoned and book the kids in for something to do in the holidays, whilst I was about it I took out a family membership which gets us in free for a year and I only have to go twice for it to pay for itself. (I'm thinking somewhere to go in the six weeks holiday)
So we had a train ride

explore historic buildings

the kids knocked seven bells out of unsuspecting Pirateers (I have to say the Pirate Acedemy was a bit of a let down, and aimed at children younger than mine)

and we climbed a windmill and were lucky enough that one of the guides was in there twiddling his thumbs so he took us right to the top and showed us how it all worked.

It was a hot day, ice creams all round afterwards but a nice few hours out of the house!

This is what's on my work desk today! A LO I have been making with a photo of DH using the April Scrapagogo Kit. I really really really need to tidy my desk as I literally have a 12x12 space on it, it's shocking!

UKS Challenge Week 2

I am a little late uploading this one but here is a LO I made last week for the weekly challenge on UKS. The criteria was pink or blue celebration flowers all 3 criteria met therefore claiming the full 30 points for my team The Crafty Magpies.

I should also add that this page was made using a page kit and sketch recieved from my teamie Vanessa on our retreat last November! Thanks Vanessa!

Time on my hands

You can tell it is the school holidays and I have got a bit of spare time on my hands can't you!!
Here are a couple of LO's that I did earlier in the week.
This on was a photo taken in Saunderfoot on holiday last year, Max trying out his new body board - hours of fun!

And this is yet another dog walk photo - DH has a tendancy to take the camera when he walks the dogs, especially if he takes the kids with him!

Both LO's were made using Scrapagogo kits.

UKS Weekly Challenge - April Wk 1

I made this LO yesterday for the weekly challenge on UKS. The criteria was: Include no more than 2 photos (1 used) Use circles (journalling spots) No more than 2 types of embellishment (buttons & journalling spots) A line from a song (Girls just wanna have fun) The LO is of my daughter & her friends on her 15th birthday last year. Scary!
