April Challenges - Weeks 1 & 2

Phew - so good to be finally back to normal! The holidays started with a sickness bug getting 4 out of 6 of us, and them we were decorating the lounge, which with 4 kids and 2 dogs can be a challenge!! Anyway today the house is semi straight & I can blog!
This LO was for last weeks UKS challenge, to follow a sketch, to include some journalling, to distress and to use something beginning with B, I've got butterfly, bloom and black. The distressing was rather poor, I scraped the edge of the papers with my scissors but it doesn't show up that well.

Secondly, this LO is for this weeks weekly challenge on UKS. The challenge was to have white space (love that), any number of colours from white (yes) blue (yes) red (yes) yellow (no) and black (no - used too much on the last LO!) To use circles (oooh yes lovely buttons) and to use the word 'time' in any way you wish - so the title is Good Tines, and the photo is of The Crafty Magpies, my lovely UKS team and family. We are such a close knit team , we cry on each others shoulders, bend each others ears, and we are all there for each other. This photo was taken last November (thankyou Shirley) when we all met for the weekend in real life, and I can honestly say it was not at all weird, it felt like we were a bunch of old mates meeting up again - not a group of people meeting for the first time. So Good Times was a pretty good description. Roll on Nov 2010 for our next meet up!!
